Better light.
Better fit.
A better welcome.
Window replacement and door installation, planned around your home. Razco coordinates the opening, product selection, installation and finishing for Toronto and GTA homeowners.

Window & door installation
with the whole room in mind.
A new window or door changes more than the view. It affects how the room feels, how the entrance works and how the surrounding finishes come together. Start with the existing opening, then choose the product and installation method that suit the home.
Razco provides window replacement and door installation across Toronto, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham and nearby GTA communities. From a defined interior door update to multiple exterior openings within a renovation, we establish the scope before work begins. Share your ideas and photographs to start a practical conversation about the result you want.
One opening or a coordinated upgrade.
Choose the work you need. We connect the product, installation and finishing in one clear plan.
Replacement windows
Improve the fit, operation and finish of the windows you use every day. Discuss casement, awning, sliding, hung and fixed configurations, with frame material, opening size and glass selected for the room. We review whether a retained-frame installation or a full-frame replacement suits the existing conditions. Matching the installation method to the opening matters as much as choosing the unit.
Entry & front doors
Plan a welcoming entrance with the door, frame, threshold, weatherstripping and hardware considered as one system. Explore steel or fibreglass options, glazed panels, sidelites and the finish that complements your home. Entry door installation includes reviewing swing direction, clearances, locking hardware and the transition to the interior floor and exterior landing.
Patio & sliding doors
Connect the room to your outdoor space with a patio door selected around access, light and the opening. Sliding and hinged systems have different clearance and hardware needs. We review the threshold, surrounding surfaces, screens and drainage details, then define removal, installation and finishing within the agreed scope.
Interior doors & hardware
Bring consistency to bedrooms, bathrooms, closets and shared spaces with coordinated interior doors. Slab replacement, pre-hung doors and hardware changes involve different preparation. We review frame condition, handing, latches, hinges and floor clearance. Interior door installation can be combined with casing, baseboards and painting for a complete finish.
Specialty window configurations
Bay, bow and grouped windows need a review of the complete opening and supporting assembly. Share the configuration you have and the result you want. We discuss dimensions, access, interior returns and the exterior finish before confirming the installation approach. Changes to an opening are reviewed as a separate scope from a like-for-like replacement.
Renovation finishing
A good window or door installation should feel integrated with the room. Plan casing profiles, jamb extensions, drywall repairs, paint and nearby flooring together. If opening repairs or concealed deterioration are discovered, the additional work is discussed before proceeding. This keeps the visible finish connected to a clear construction scope.
The finish you see.
The preparation
behind it.
Comfort and durability depend on the complete installation. Door installation and window replacement are reviewed against the selected product instructions and the conditions at the opening. The visible trim is the last part of a wider assembly.
Start with the existing conditions
A window that is difficult to operate, a door that rubs or a draft around a frame can have different causes. We review the frame, opening and nearby surfaces rather than assuming that changing the unit will solve every issue. Signs of moisture damage or movement may need additional investigation and a separate repair scope.
Plan sealing, flashing & transitions
Exterior installations need an approach to air sealing, weather protection and drainage that fits the product and wall assembly. We discuss the connections at the sill, frame and surrounding finishes. Sealant is one detail within the installation, rather than a substitute for a suitable opening and correctly coordinated components.
Make the new unit feel at home
Casing width, frame colour, jamb depth and nearby wall repairs affect the completed look. For door installation, floor clearance and threshold height also matter. We identify what is being retained, replaced, patched or painted so your quote describes the finished result you are expecting.
Compare the complete system.
Choose how the unit needs to perform before settling on a style. Consider operation, light, privacy, maintenance, hardware and the way the room is used. Frame and glass choices should respond to the home, rather than a single headline specification.
For energy performance, compare the selected model’s certified ratings and look for ENERGY STAR certification where appropriate. Check the manufacturer’s documentation for the actual product being ordered. Pane count alone does not describe the performance of the complete window.

- 01
Consultation & priorities
Tell us what is not working: a difficult latch, worn frames, a dated entrance, drafts or an awkward patio opening. We review photographs, the number of openings and the improvements that matter most to you.
- 02
Site review & measurements
The existing opening, frame depth, surrounding materials and access are reviewed before the final specification. Measurements for ordering are confirmed as part of the agreed process. Note any planned changes to flooring, cladding or interior finishes.
- 03
Selections & written scope
Confirm the products, operation, glass, colour, hardware and installation method. The quote identifies the responsibilities for supply, removal, installation, finishing and disposal. Product availability and the expected construction sequence are reviewed together.
- 04
Removal & opening preparation
Protect the agreed work areas and remove the existing unit as scoped. Review the exposed opening before the replacement is set. Any repair needs that affect the installation are raised with you so the next step can be agreed.
- 05
Installation & finishing
Set the unit with the alignment, support, fastening, sealing and flashing details required for the selected system and conditions. Complete the agreed interior and exterior finishing, with care around nearby surfaces and connections.
- 06
Operation & final walkthrough
Check opening, closing, latches and locks with the team. Review the agreed finishing, cleanup, care instructions and applicable warranty documentation. Keep the product details and discuss any follow-up items before the project is closed.
What shapes your
installation quote?
Window replacement and door installation costs depend on the units, opening sizes, preparation and finish. A new exterior opening is a different project from replacing an interior door in an existing frame. We review the actual conditions before putting a number to the work.
Your quote should distinguish product supply from installation and identify removal, disposal, trim, patching and painting where included. If you are comparing estimates, compare the product specification and completed scope together. A lower headline amount may describe different work.
Send us a useful starting point
- Photographs of each opening, inside and outside where accessible.
- The number of windows and doors you want to update.
- Approximate dimensions for the initial discussion; ordering measurements are confirmed separately.
- The styles, colours or products you are considering.
- Any drafts, sticking hardware, visible damage or changes to the opening.
- Your location, access arrangements and preferred timing.
Already purchased a unit? Include the model, handing and product dimensions so compatibility can be reviewed.
Opening changes & approvals.
Changes to opening size, location or structural support need a different review from a straightforward replacement. Confirm the requirements with your municipality, and discuss any condo or heritage approvals that apply to the property. Identify drawings, approvals and inspections within the project responsibilities.
Part of a larger renovation?
Plan window replacement and door installation with the work around them. New casing meets the wall finish; interior doors meet the flooring; exterior openings connect to the wider wall assembly. Coordinating those details early helps you define the complete project.
Window & door installation FAQs.
How much does window and door installation cost in Toronto?
The number and size of openings, product specifications, existing frame condition, access and finishing all affect the quote. A standard replacement in a sound opening differs from a new opening or a larger door system. Send photographs and an opening list so we can review the work and prepare an itemized estimate. Product supply, removal, installation, trim and disposal should be clearly identified.
Should I replace the full window frame or use an insert?
That depends on the condition of the existing frame and the result you want. An insert fits within a retained frame; a full-frame replacement removes more of the existing assembly and allows the surrounding opening to be reviewed. We discuss deterioration, glass area, interior trim and exterior finishes before confirming the proposed method. The right approach follows the condition of the home.
Which is better: double-pane or triple-pane windows?
Compare the complete window system, its certified performance, comfort goals and budget. Pane count is one part of the decision; frame construction, coatings, spacers, orientation and installation also matter. Ask for the selected model’s U-factor, Energy Rating and ENERGY STAR certification where applicable. There is no single glass package that is automatically the best choice for every opening.
Do replacement windows and doors qualify for rebates?
Eligibility depends on the program, property, product and application requirements in effect when you apply. ENERGY STAR certification does not by itself guarantee a rebate. Check the current program rules before ordering or starting work, including whether an assessment or pre-approval is required. We can provide the selected product details so you can compare them with the program requirements.
Do I need a permit for a window or door replacement?
Requirements depend on your municipality, building and scope. Toronto identifies certain same-opening replacements in eligible houses as exempt, subject to conditions. New openings, enlarged openings or changes affecting structural support require a different review. Confirm the applicable requirements with the local building department before work starts. Condo or heritage approvals may also need to be addressed.
Can you install a door I have already purchased?
Tell us the manufacturer, model, dimensions and whether it is a slab, pre-hung unit or complete door system. Photographs of the product and opening help us review compatibility, handing, frame depth, hardware and finishing. Please arrange a review before ordering where possible. A purchased unit may need additional components or may not suit the existing opening.
How long will the installation take?
The schedule depends on the number of units, product availability, access, removal, opening repairs and finishing. Product lead time and time on site are separate parts of the plan. We confirm the proposed sequence after reviewing the project and discussing the selected units. Weather and newly exposed conditions can affect exterior work, so the installation date is coordinated with those factors.
Can window replacement be coordinated with a renovation?
Yes. Window replacement and door installation can be planned alongside drywall, carpentry, flooring and painting. Coordinating the sequence helps address reveals, casing, floor heights and nearby finishes together. Let us know if you are changing the room layout or exterior opening so the full scope can be reviewed before materials are ordered.
What should I do before the installers arrive?
Clear access to the openings and discuss furniture, blinds, curtains, alarms and fragile items with the team. Confirm parking, working hours and any condo management requirements. We agree on the work area protection, removal and cleanup arrangements in advance. Keep children and pets away from active work areas and ask which rooms or entrances will remain available during the work.
What warranty comes with the work?
Product warranties and installation workmanship coverage are separate. Ask for the applicable written terms, exclusions, maintenance requirements and service contact before approving the quote. Coverage varies by product and project. At handover, retain the product information and warranty documents, and review how to operate and care for the installed windows and doors.
